Our client is a global commercial building materials manufacturer seeking a Salesforce Solution Engineer to assist in the ongoing development of their Salesforce environment. The ideal candidate will have a record of success in improving processes and the addition of new processes through the Salesforce platform. This role will work closely with functional leaders, organizational units, and subject matter experts to help identify, develop, and deploy new business processes. This role is part technical developer, part administrator, part Salesforce analyst and part automation specialist. The Salesforce Solution Engineer will be responsible for the executing of the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance, and improvement of their Salesforce platform.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the evaluation, scope, and completion of new development requests.
  • Serve as one of the primary system administrators for the Salesforce platform.
  • Perform application configuration, development, data integrations, testing, and evaluation to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Handle some basic administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards, and other routine tasks.
  • Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades.
  • Assist in the deployment and development of Salesforce across all business units.
  • Work with our management team and key stakeholders to establish suitable processes to support administrative, development, and change management activities.
  • Assist in training of new users and grow the Salesforce skill set across the organization.
  • Work with the Sales Process & Platform Manager to define and document development requirements and procedural documents.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by manager.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Salesforce.com administrator.
  • Salesforce Platform App Builder certified.
  • Salesforce Advanced Administrator certified.
  • Proven ability to design and implement new processes and facilitate user adoption.
  • Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity.
  • Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce.com and all upstream and downstream applications, systems, and processes.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and functionality.
  • Excellent project management skills and a positive attitude.
  • Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Must demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong data management abilities.
  • A documented history of successfully driving projects to completion.
  • A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements.

  • This position is regularly required to travel by car, train, or plane. He or she is frequently required to sit, stand, walk; or stoop. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds.

  • Employee may be required to travel approximately 10% of the time within North America and possibly internationally.
