Our client is a global leader, founded in 1894, with a significant presence in diverse industries including pharmaceuticals, life sciences, and specialty chemicals. We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead formulation development and application support for coatings, polymers, and UV-curable technologies. This full-time, on-site position is based in Cleveland, OH, and plays a critical role in driving business growth through technical leadership and innovative solutions. This position has a pay range of 160K-180K.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize formulations, focusing on solvent borne, waterborne, and 100% solids systems.
• Conduct research projects to deliver data-driven solutions, aligning with business objectives.
• Collaborate with R&D, sales, and manufacturing teams to identify customer needs and innovate new products.
• Design and execute pre-formulation and formulation studies, evaluating product stability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Document and report on formulation processes and technical findings.
• Travel up to 30% for business-related engagements.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of polymer science and UV-curable formulations.
• Proficiency in physical and chemical testing, including environmental aging techniques and analytical instruments.
• Experience with formulation processes and production equipment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
