Brock11 is currently searching for a Staff Accountant. Our client, a leading food manufacturer, seeks an experienced and detail-oriented individual to join their accounting team. The Staff Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, assisting with financial analysis, and supporting period-end close processes. This position provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. This position has a base pay range of 50K-55K plus bonus.
Position Description:
The Staff Accountant will work closely with the Controller and Accounting Manager to provide accurate and timely financial data. This role will be instrumental in assisting with period-end closing, journal entries, account analysis, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and a solid foundation in accounting principles.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare account analysis and financial reports.
- Enter recurring journal entries and assist in the period-end close process.
- Assist in financial reporting for company entities.
- Prepare weekly and period sales report information.
- Manage the company’s fixed assets.
- Support the accounting team with data analysis and reconciliation tasks.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in completing assigned tasks.
- Work to improve understanding of company systems and financial processes.
Qualifications for Position:
Knowledge:
- Understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and GAAP.
- Knowledge of account reconciliation and financial reporting processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business with a concentration in Accounting is required.
- 1–2 years of experience as a staff accountant is preferred but not required.
