Currently seeking an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to join the Avon, OH team and lead the execution of large commercial projects. The base pay range is 90k-140k plus bonus opportunity.
The Construction Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of large commercial construction projects. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of construction processes and methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large commercial projects from inception through completion.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Planning and Scheduling:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to establish project timelines and deliverables.
- Utilize project management software to monitor progress and make necessary adjustments.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage the project team, including subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
Budget Management:
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring projects are completed within financial constraints.
- Approve expenditures and implement cost-control measures.
- Regularly report on financial performance to senior management.
Quality Control:
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality.
- Implement and enforce quality control measures and safety protocols.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and standards.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Handle any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
- Provide regular project updates and address any concerns promptly.
- Maintain strong relationships with all project stakeholders.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, and change orders.
- Prepare and submit regular progress reports to senior management and clients.
- Ensure all project closeout documentation is completed and filed appropriately.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-25 years of experience managing large commercial construction projects.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Primavera).
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
- PMP or equivalent certification is preferred but not required.
- OSHA certification or similar safety training is an advantage.
